About Andy Heath
Andy Heath
grew up in Celina, Tennessee, and Livingston, Tennessee, until he graduated from
high school in 1996. He graduated from East Tennessee State University in
2001 with a B.A. in Spanish and a minor in business management.
In 1997 some of Andy's fellow students in the dorm
gay bashed him by trying to break down his door when they suspected he was gay.
Andy called the police, but the officer did nothing to prosecute the boys that
harassed Andy. It was at this point that Andy decided that he would fight
against the energy of hatred and the ubiquitous misunderstanding of gays and
lesbians in the Southeastern United States.
Andy visited Mexico and Costa Rica during his time
at ETSU. He also spent one semester studying at the Universtiy of Puerto
Rico, in Cayey, PR, in 2001. After graduating from ETSU, Andy moved to
Nashville, Tennessee, where he held a number of clerical positions. He
eventually learned to used Microsoft Excel well enough that he could perform
complex calculations and data mining exercises for his employers.
Andy spent several years as a free lance
translator while he worked in other positions. He wrote his first novel at
age 25, which he does not intend to publish. Andy started his second
novel,
Preston,
a few years later, which he considers a much better work of fiction and a work
that is more in tune with his interests.
Andy played two musical instruments as a child and
has near perfect pitch. He currently lives in an apartment in Nashville, Tennessee. |
