The Myth of Gay Men as Pedophiles

Are there gay men that are pedophiles? Of course. Pedophiles are represented by gay men as well as a number of straight men. Yet even though straight men make up the vast majority (and even the proportional majority) of pedophile men, gay pedophiles seem to receive the majority of the attention from our enemies.
The very simple fact of that matter is that most gay men, like most straight men, are not pedophiles. We enjoy healthy, romantic relationships with adults. And while I have found it can be quite common for large disparities in age between gay men and lesbian women that form partnerships, these gay men and lesbian women are generally adults.
I believe that the reason gay men receive so much attention from those that believe we are pedophiles is because the Christians, in a failing effort to eternally deny us the rights that they have almost always enjoyed, are trying to strike fear of us in people's hearts.
Again, I urge straight people, especially straight Christians, to get to know us. They will be surprised at how truly normal we are.
